White Swan Pub Golders Green Road, London NW11

A friendly pub with young staff and the usual kind of music nights at weekends. Garden at the back but it is not always open. The Guinness is not bad here.In 2002 as the food always looked good we decided to try it. Typical kind of pub food with a few vegetarian choices. Not the best we have tried but may be worth trying something different next time - potato and broccoli bake was rather greasy.

January 2003. Snowy weather so we ventured inside again to warm up and get some lunch. New menu and much better - burgers are good here, especially the veggie one. We were served by a pleasant and friendly barman.

We were pleased with our meal and were going to go back the next day but found that two of the tables were taken by a large and unruly family. They were sitting at one table and the children were running across the seats of the next one and yelling. This is not really a family pub and to see it filled with badly behaved children was yet another reason not to go back for a while. Maybe it was a one off, hope so.
